UWSOM
Asylum Evaluaton Student Clinic
ABOUT US
The UWSOM Asylum Evaluation Student Clinic opened in May of 2021. Our clinic provides free forensic evaluations for asylum seekers. Our medical student leaders and volunteer scribes work closely with our faculty to help medical evaluations go smoothly, and to draft legal affidavits afterward that aid our clients in their asylum-seeking process. We coordinate client referrals with several community-based organizations to provide our clients with support services, including primary care, mental health, and food banks after their evaluations.
